FIELD: oil production industry, particularly means isolating water influx into oil-producing wells.

SUBSTANCE: method for water cuttings reduction involves repeated pumping of mudding gel-forming aqueous liquid glass solution in the stratum; injecting cleaning liquid into stratum, wherein each next portion of mudding solution is diluted 1.05-1.5 times in relation to previous one and hardening agent, namely silicofluoric sodium, and cross-linking agent, namely ammonium persulfate are added to the aqueous solution. The components are taken in the following amounts (% by weight): 9% liquid glass solution - 10-65, silicofluoric sodium - 0.512-1.0, ammonium persulfate - 1.15-6.5, remainder - water. Number of mudding solution portions is 2 - 5. Each next portion is pumped in well under pressure 25%-85% greater than breakdown pressure. Pressure at well head during mudding solution pumping is in inverse proportion with the solution concentration and pumping rate. Cleaning liquid viscosity is less than that of stratum water and mudding solution.

EFFECT: increased mudding efficiency for watered interlayers in oil stratums with non-uniform filtering properties.
