FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding plants with capsules; crushing capsules by means of balloons with flexible and resilient enclosure and combing crushed capsules beginning from plant apexes with sequential increase of combing zone to width of arrangement of capsules on stems while orienting stems in direction perpendicular to length of strip. Apparatus has clamping conveyor, flattening rolls and chamber incorporating combing drum with combs effectuating progressive-rotational motions. Flattening rolls are made in the form of balloons with flexible resilient enclosure. Combing drum is positioned at an angle to surface of ends of clamping conveyor pulleys. Each comb has several sections, with first section in the course of advancement of conveyor being arranged at greater distance from said surface than axis of rotation of comb and following sections being arranged closer to said surface with distances from said surface being gradually reducing. Teeth of sections are equally spaced from said surface.
EFFECT: reduced damage to stems by teeth and reduced loss of stems.
