SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture and can be used for harvesting linen. The method of separation of seed part of harvest from the stems comprises separating of layer of stems into elementary bands, separation or destruction of seed balls and removing of seed balls and seeds from the band or sheaves. The separation of layer of stems into elementary bands is performed within the location area of seed balls. The separation or destruction of the seed balls is carried out by communicating to the elementary bands of oscillatory motions in a plane perpendicular to the stems in the layer. The device for separation of seed part of harvest from the stems comprises an anvil wheel 1 mounted on the shaft and the drum 3 with the ridges located inside the anvil wheel 1. The cylindrical surface of the anvil wheel 1 is enveloped with the clamping conveyor 2 having a drive mechanism. The drum 3 with the ridges is connected to the anvil wheel 1 by means of resilient elements and is connected to vibration exciter. The teeth of the ridges are located circumferentially on the drum 3 and protrude over the cylindrical surface of the anvil wheel 1.

EFFECT: use of the group of inventions enables to produce a pile with low content of mess and to avoid damage to the stems.
