FIELD: continuous hot rolling mills, namely methods and systems for feeding hot rolled product from such mill to rack of cooling system.
SUBSTANCE: system for receiving hot rolled rod type article from rolling mill and feeding it to cooling rack includes shears for cutting rod by segments and for alternatively guiding rod segments to one of two further intermediate paths for going on motion along them; switches in each of said paths for guiding rod segment to one or other of two paths for moving segments of rod to cooling rack; braking apparatus for reducing speed of rod segments moving on said paths; apparatus for cooling rod segments moving on said paths. Braking apparatus includes first and second braking units mutually spaced along said paths. First braking unit is made with possibility of reducing speed of rod segments till intermediate speed less than speed of feeding rod from rolling mill. Second braking unit is made with possibility of further reducing speed of rod segments from intermediate speed till speed suitable for feeding to cooling rack. Method for receiving hot rolled rod and feeding it to cooling rack comprises steps of dividing rod by segments; alternatively guiding rod segments to one of two intermediate paths for going on motion on them; alternatively guiding rod segment moving on said path to one of two further paths for feeding rod segments to cooling rack; providing braking of rod segments at their motion on said further paths for two stages; at first stage reducing speed of rod segments till intermediate speed less than speed of feeding product from rolling mill; at second stage reducing speed of rod segment from intermediate speed till speed suitable for feeding it cooling rack.
EFFECT: possibility for rolling wide assortment of articles fed at high speed values.
