FIELD: high-voltage apparatus building; linear-crosswise arc break and mainly two-way blast circuit breakers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed arc-control device has movable contact and nozzle-shaped fixed contact with current-carrying exhaust pipe and is made in the form of cylinder provided with round- and trapezoidal-section channels separated by ring-shaped internal and external jumpers; nozzle-shaped fixed contact mounts on its surface blade-shaped ribs in front of arc-control chamber; in addition, helical-shaped grooves are made on inner surfaces of round-section linear channels whose curvature is formed along negative revolution of helical line, that is in clockwise direction as viewed at fixed contact on movable-contact side; curvature of blade-shaped ribs on nozzle surface is formed along positive revolution of helical line, that is in counterclockwise direction.
EFFECT: reduced full closing time and enhanced breaking capacity of high-power and high-voltage circuit breaker.
