FIELD: backup power supplies (storage batteries operating in charge-discharge mode) for main power converters.
SUBSTANCE: newly introduced in device are supply voltage sensor, two timers, as well as 2AND and 3OR gates enabling turn-on of thyristor before load is deenergized, simultaneously turning on contactor whose contacts are connected in parallel with thyristor, and to delay turn-off of contactor upon recovery of supply voltage until transients in main power converter cease.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of backup supply voltage at reduced heat liberation and mass of cooler.
