FIELD: obstetrics, in particular, equipment for assisting at the birth of a child, in different positions of woman in childbirth depending upon health of woman and obstetric situation.
SUBSTANCE: chair for woman in childbirth has base, foot rest, detachable seat and back. Back may be lifted to an angle of up to 90є relative to base. Seat has slot formed in its mid portion and adapted for preventing coccygeal bone from squeezing. Base is designed to allow woman in childbirth to be in dorsal and lateral position, in position of woman sitting on seat, squatting position, and position of standing on knees. Back has arced side hand supports. Foot rest is made arced, with doubled cross-piece and is equipped with elastic repositionable retainers.
EFFECT: wider operational capabilities owing to the possibility of assisting at a birth of a child to woman in any position depending upon health state and obstetric situation.
