FIELD: methods of production of the shape-stable screen-members from a polymeric material.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to production of means for purification of gases from the solid impurities suspended in them and may be used for production of industrial screens, in particular, for the fine purification of the air from dust in the intake sections of the stationary gas-turbine installations. The method provides for formation of crimps of the zigzag shape and a thermal treatment. Formation of the screen-member volumetric unit is realized within one operation simultaneously on the all lines of bending of a billet. The thermal treatment of the volumetric screen-member unit is conducted following the operation of forming by heating of the material only on peaks and pits of the crimps of the volumetric screen-members up to the temperature ensuring relief of the elastic strains in the zones of bending of the polymeric material of the screen-element. The device for realization of the method includes a forming mandrel made out of from an airproof cloth, a vacuum bag and a sealing roller. The mandrel with a hinge clearances on all its edges there are the fixed flat laminate members forming at their transformation a zigzag-crimped surface. In the hinged clearances along the zigzag-shaping lines of the forming mandrel there are the flexible heating members. The invention ensures improvement in quality of the zigzag-crimped screen-member, reduction of number of the process operation.
