FIELD: railroad building and building material manufacturing, particularly to process ballast contaminated with oil during rail road exploitation and for ballast hammering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves returning previously sized ballast having particle dimensions of more than 5 mm for filling branch lines; determining oil product content in selected fraction having particle dimensions of less than 5 mm; separating ballast fraction containing 8% of oil products and transporting thereof to brick factory; unloading the selected ballast fraction; moving thereof to receiving hopper to use the ballast as filling agent for building brick production.
EFFECT: increased economy and improved ecological safety of contaminated ballast usage.
