FIELD: fire safety equipment, particularly fire alarms.
SUBSTANCE: method involves simultaneous measuring and analyzing concentrations of at least two gas components evolving during combustible material smoldering and indicating fire initiation; generating alarm signal if measured concentration ratios of above components is equal to predetermined ones. Device comprises at least two concentration sensors, microprocessor and alarm signal generation system.
EFFECT: reduced probability of false signal obtaining at fire initiation stage.
