FIELD: fire alarms, particularly for detecting smoke at fire development stage in closed space.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming periodical synchronous successions of count pulses and light pulses emitting into optical chamber having light-reflecting walls; receiving reflected light signals; converting light signals into electric ones to be synchronously detected; comparing thereof with threshold value to analyze only signal part so that noise generated in other time points does not influence on smoke detection signal forming.
EFFECT: increased reliability of periodic control by synchronous detection and elimination of impulse noise recording during information signal generation.
