METHOD FOR FORMING PANCREATIC STUMP AT APPLYING PANCREATOJEJUNOANASTOMOSIS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, surgery.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with pancreatic resection. One should suture the parenchyma of pancreatic stump by applying sutures at both sides against the main pancreatic duct. Punctures in should be performed into the tissue of dissected glandular surface, punctures out - at the distance of 1 cm against the edge along its anterior surface. Then one should apply free ends of ligament at the distance of 2 mm against the edge of cut-off. Punctures in should be started at anterior surface, punctures out - in stump's plane followed by next puncture in out of glandular plane and puncture out - along posterior surface at the distance of 2 mm against the edge of pancreatic stump. One should simultaneously tighten ligatures to draw the edges together till their tight juncture. Knot should be tightened at posterior pancreatic surface. The method provides prophylaxis for failed sutures of pancreatojejunoanastomosis.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
