METHOD OF SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CHRONIC CALCULOUS PANCREATITIS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: pancreas is cut across at isthmus height. Medial resection of pancreas follows. After pancreas medial resection is completed, parenchyma is vertically incised within avascular area by lower edge between posterior pancreaticoduodenal vessels providing longitudinal rupture of main pancreatic duct of head to concrement height. Visually monitored Wirsunglithoextraction is performed. Retention cysts of segmental ducts are opened and sanitised. After pancreatic juice passage to duodenal intestine is restored, continuity of all opened channels and head parenchyma is precisely recovered with primary sutures using wire-frame drainage tube of required diameter inserted in main pancreatic duct. Operation is finished with head and pancreas tail delivering to skin Wirsungstomes. Bilateral pancreatic enteroanastomosis is formed.

EFFECT: method enables to save pancreas parenchyma unmodified while liquidation of duct hypertensia; to lower number of early postoperative complications and to provide low-traumatic radical extraction of Wirsunglithes.
