FIELD: hovercraft.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air-cushion vehicles with height oscillation damping systems and automatic control of angular oscillations. Proposed air-cushion vehicle has hull, air-cushion guard with air duct divided at least into two isolated spaces, and flexible guard, power plant containing at least one engine connected by transmission with air propulsor, with one or more air blowers pneumatically connected with corresponding isolated space, at least one channel connecting air-cushion chamber with atmosphere, control system containing at least one vertical acceleration sensor and computer generating signal to drive opening corresponding valve by signal from said vertical acceleration sensor. Air duct is arranged along perimeter of hull of air-cushion vehicle. Isolated spaces are pneumatically coupled with flexible guard consisting of conical flattened members contacting through flat side surfaces. Each conical member is furnished with two perforated diaphragm placed inside its space and closing higher than lower edges of conical member. One of diaphragms expends from lower outer edge of conical member, and the other, from lower inner edge of conical member. Invention provides automatic control of angular oscillations and damping of vertical oscillations of air-cushion vehicle providing reduction of amplitudes of angular displacements and vertical accelerations of air-cushion vehicle caused by action of disturbed water surface or irregularities of ground.
EFFECT: enhanced operation of air-cushion vehicle.
