FIELD: vehicles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to amphibious air-cushion vehicles (AV) intended for transportation in difficult terrain at any time of the year. Air-cushion AV comprises flat bearing platform of frame structure consisting of centre section and two trailed boards partially filled with porous filler. Air manifolds are formed at the point of attachment of trailed boards, which uniformly supply air cushion sections through outlet nozzles with air. Air is supplied by air cushion blowers through distributing devices. Flexible chamber-type air cushion guard is divided into four sections and has linear compensators at the joints. Flexible nose guard is equipped with air cushion stops and reinforcing pads. Flexible stern guard has transverse and longitudinal partitions supported in working condition by a set of flat and coiled springs, flexible rods, braces, elastic levers, bars. Engine compartment houses two independent power plants, two centrifugal air cushion blowers, shaft lines, fuel system, cooling system, gas exhaust system, pneumatic system, hydraulic system and electric system in part of motor systems. AV has rudder propeller system including two propellers in aerodynamic annular nozzles; at that, air outlets from blowers are equipped with gates used during movement with one operating blower. Brake flaps are arranged at ship centre of gravity and actuated by pneumatic cylinders and returned to initial position by them.
