FIELD: railway signaling and communication.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electric drive contains electric motor, reduction gear with friction clutch, automatic change-over switch and housing. Moreover, electric drive is furnished with control unit providing change of switch change-over speed with stepless acceleration at beginning of stroke and stepless braking when coming to end of change over owing to control of electric motor speed. Electric motor is contactless control machine with permanent magnets on rotor. Current limiting device and unit limiting time of operation at level providing change-over of switch are introduced into unit control.
EFFECT: improved reliability of operation of electric drive.
