FIELD: mining industry, particularly for roller-bit drilling blast or test holes in delfts performing mining with explosive rock caving.
SUBSTANCE: method involves checking out technical conditions of the cone drill; determining the presence of anticorrosive protection and conserving oil in bit bearing assembly, conditions and conformance of connecting thread of the bit; performing checking out smoothness of cutter rotation, absence of hard-alloy cutter teeth sticking, reliability of lock finger fixation, cleanness of central and side scavenge ports, diameter of outlet orifices of heads arranged in side scavenge ports and fastening reliability thereof, operable condition of air valve and hard-alloy cutter members, reinforcing presence and quality and hard-alloy bit leg coating; extracting conserving oil; installing the bit in boring rig; performing running-in hole drilling; performing drilling under nominal operating regime along with feeding air-emulsion mix; performing control of drilling rate, bit rotation, force applied to hole face, sludging degree, technical conditions of structural members before repair cycle. Repair cycle includes removing drilling bit from boring rig, flushing and scavenging thereof with compressed air, cleaning scavenge ports and head, checking out conditions thereof, repairing or replacing air valve, recovering hard-alloy coating of bit leg back from oncoming side and deflector parameters thereof; replacing bearings and lock fingers, filling bearing assemblies and bearings with oil; lubricating connecting thread; installing bit in boring rig and performing technological drilling up to the next repair cycle or up to putting the bit out of operation in the case of wearing-out of hard-alloy cutter and bearing assembly coating. After conserving oil removal bit is rolled in oil reservoir, outlet head orifices are calibrated, mining and geological hole drilling conditions and duration of overhaul period are determined. Then bit is installed in boring rig. During bit repair cycle bit is rolled in oil reservoir after bearing and lock finger replacement, bearing assemblies and bearings are filled with oil and bit is installed in boring rig.
EFFECT: increased life time, reduced material consumptions and labor inputs for bit operation, decreased costs of drilling and blasting works and, as a result, cost of mining operation.
