FIELD: absorption, rectification and scrubbing of gases.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has vertical cylindrical housing with contact perforated horizontal partition mounted inside it. Openings of adjacent contact partitions are communicated by means of overflow branch pipes, thus forming cascade for liquid. Tube mounted coaxially relative to each overflow branch pipe is used for passage of gas and forming circular clearance between tube and branch pipe for overflow of liquid. Tube and branch pipe are of screen type; circular clearance between them is closed from beneath with adjacent partition; tube is shut-off with blank at the top. In the course of contact of gas and liquid, foam mode is attained when surface of phase contact is maximum.
EFFECT: low economical and power expenses; enhanced efficiency.
