MULTI-CASSETTE RING SEPARATION CHECKER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: chemical industry; fine cleaning of gas from liquid. SUBSTANCE: checker has cover, filtering unit consisting of screened cassettes fitted one on another and tightened up by means of stud; inner surfaces of cassettes form gas distributing collectors where gas distributing disks are arranged; distributing disks are secured to stud. Cassettes are provided with overflow pipes for draining the separated liquid into trays located under cassettes; number of cassettes ranges from 1 to 10. Gas is directed to branch pipe where sorbent gets in contact with gas, liquid is crushed by gas flow and is distributed among cassettes; in screened layer drops are coagulated into thin film flowing to tray over surface of screen and overflow pipes. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and increased productivity of separators provided with checkers due to increased surface of contact between gas-and-liquid flow and material of separation layer. 10 cl, 4 dwg
