SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to purification of oily waste waters of oil fields and may be used in other industries, an agriculture, which waste waters contain petroleum and oil products. The device contains: a hydrocyclone; cylindrical chambers placed on the upper and lower outlet drains of the hydrocyclone; a waste water tank with septums dividing it into working and buffer sections. In the upper part of the working section there are distributing devices for water from the upper and lower drains of the hydrocyclone, branch-pipes for withdrawal of petroleum, purified water and settlings. The device is supplied with three sections of settling, from which two extreme sections have the coalescing hydrodynamic macrogranular hydrophobic screens located between four septums. The extreme sections are supplied with the water distributors made in the form of tubular headers with branching pipe-lines having swirling devices made in the form of cylindrical-conic hydrocyclones with one end face tightly closed from above and another one - from below opened made in the form of a convergent nozzle. The technical result consists in higher efficiency of the purification.

EFFECT: the invention ensures higher efficiency of the purification.
