FIELD: chemical industry; production of a carboxylic acid and alcohol from a corresponding carboxylate.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of chemical industry, in particular, to a method and a device for simultaneous hydrolytic decomposition of a carboxylate into carboxylic acid and alcohol. The method of hydrolytic production of a carboxylic acid and alcohol from a corresponding carboxylate and water, in which a stream containing carboxylate, is put in interaction with the catalyst of hydrolysis at presence of water at the heightened temperature in a reactionary distillation column so as carboxylate at least partially is hydrolyzed up to a carboxylic acid and alcohol, and the produced reaction mixture is simultaneously separated at least partially for ingredients in the reactionary distillation column. At that the more volatile compounds, for example alcohol go out from the upper part of the reactionary distillation column in the form of a so-called stream from the upper part of the column, and the less volatile compounds, for example, the carboxylic acid, is collected at least partially in the lower part of the column in the form of a fraction from the lower part of the column, and which may be removed in the form of the so-called lower stream or the stream from the lower part of the column. The stream containing carboxylate, first is fed in the preliminary reactor, in which carboxylate interacts with the first catalyst at presence of water so as the carboxylate is partially decomposed into hydrolyzates; the reaction mixture is removed from the preliminary reactor and at least partially is introduced into the reactionary distillation column, and put into interaction with the second catalyst of hydrolysis for a partial at least transformation of the residue carboxylate into the carboxylic acid and alcohol. The invention allows to create the improved method of hydrolysis of carboxylate, in particular, methyl acetate, methyl formiate and allyl acetate, using a reactionary distillation column the coefficient of transformation carboxylates in alcohol and a carboxylic acid, in particular, is increased preventing poisoning of the catalyst, used in the distillation column, the power consumption is optimized during the process, and it provides a possibility to increase flexibility, from the point of view of a composition and amount of an inlet stream, the composition of outlet streams. The method also may be made controllable over a wide range; besides the coefficient of transformation of methyl acetate into acetic acid and a methanol is increased.
EFFECT: the invention allows to create an improved method of hydrolysis of carboxylates and a device for its realization.
