SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of distillery industry, in particular, to production of denaturated alcohol. The offered denaturated alcohol contains ethyl alcohol, water and a denaturing additive containing diethyl phthalate. The denaturing additive contains glycerin at the following ratio of ingredients (in mass %): diethyl phthalate - 0.1-0.22; glycerin - 0.04-0.075; ethyl alcohol - 75-75.8; water - the rest. The invention ensures production of a product possessing a repellent color and taste, which may be used for production of a cosmetic means and other purposes.
