FIELD: mining and building industries, transport building and oil-and-gas building, particularly for developing thawed deposits of sandy-gravel building materials from under shallow lakes in permafrost areas with the use of excavating vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: method involves opening deposit; stepped excavating mineral; forming ledges; placing mineral in working site for drying thereof and offloading mineral. Preparatory step involves forming pilot path; opening the deposit by excavating pilot pit. Mineral is developed by one underwater step from retreating face. Working site is movable. Developing of thawed deposit decreasing in lake bank direction and working site movement is performed in accordance to fan-like scheme. Part of excavated rock not used for movable working site forming is offloaded and used as the mineral.
EFFECT: increased efficiency.
