FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: mining is performed in stages with forming at each stage of mineral extraction zones in the open-cut contours and with temporary stockpiling of overburden rocks. The pioneer fill is made up to the opposite walls of the open-cut to the height of the step. From this fill the dump is filled. As the mining proceeds to the second stage contour, an enclosing an a protection fills are formed along said contour till the opposite walls of the open-cut, with forming the enclosing fill and filling the dump in such a way as to produce a common step surface. On the surface of the formed step are formed the enclosing and protection fills of the next step of the dump. These operations are repeated. After the direction of mining changes, the pioneer fill is made on the mined-out horizon, then the second stage dump is formed in the same way as for the first stage dump.
