FIELD: mechanical engineering, turbine building, chemical or petrochemical industries, gas transport lines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanical protection system of high-energy working medium consumer contains high-energy working medium generator, energy consumer of said working medium, high-energy working medium manifold with outer and inner walls connecting generator with consumer, control system, mechanical protection device installed in walls of manifold for turning and overlapping of entire area of passage, supply source and drive of protection device mechanically coupled with supply source. Emergency mechanical protection system of consumer is furnished with antisurge device. Mechanical protection device is made in from of turnable flaps with inner partitions of curvilinear box section placed in cavities of inner wall of manifold for turning relative to axles arranged in plane of its cross section symmetrically and concentrically to its axis. Turnable flaps are furnished with at least two sector inner and outer cover plates arranged alternately from outer and inner sides. Each flap has separate drive mechanism aerohydraulically communicating at least with one source of supply with high energy gas of individual drive mechanisms of sector turnable flaps and electrically coupled with control system.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of emergency mechanical protection system of consumer.
