FIELD: pipeline transport.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting the plastic shell into the pipe with outer thread, threading the inner surfaces of the ends of the shell, and screwing the protecting bushings provided with flanges into the shell . The outer diameter of the flanges does not exceed the inner diameter of the pipe. The ends of the shell are preliminary cut to level them with the ends of the pipe. The outer surface of the protecting bushing is provided with a conical thread. Relationships are presented between outer diameter of the bushing thread, inner diameter of the pipe, thickness of the shell wall, height of the shell thread profile in the plane of the face, and sealing tension in the threaded connection.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
