FIELD: medical diagnostics, radio-examination, radio-structural and radio-spectral analyses, tomography, and the like.
SUBSTANCE: proposed X-ray tube has evacuated envelope with butt-end output window provided with elongated cylindrical protective opening. Envelope is has one or more shielding partitions in vicinity of output window. Fixed anode installed inside envelope is cooled down with aid of pipe connection with flange and has sector targets of various materials on its surface (or solid homogeneous surface).Cathode assembly disposed around anode is formed by minimum two filaments and is installed below anode surface level. Mounted between anode and cathode assembly is focusing electrode made in the form of solid hollow cylinder. Quantity of envelope shielding partitions and filaments equals that of sector targets. In addition, D/d : H/h = 3 - 5, where D is cathode assembly diameter, mm; d is diameter of elongated cylindrical protective opening, mm; H is distance between shielding partition and cathode assembly, mm; h is distance between shielding partition and output window. This X-ray tube is characterized in ability of operation with any available power supplies and at high radiation intensity.
