FIELD: heat treatment of articles; surface hardening of parts made from high-temperature alloys for working at high temperature and alternating loads.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heating of parts to temperature above 600°C but below phase transition temperature followed by cooling them with liquid under pressure of 8-10 atm in the course of free falling of part in circular sprayer; angle α of inclination of jets ranges from 0 to 45° depending on size and configuration of part; this angle is determined experimentally. Proposed plant includes electrical furnace, cooling chamber with spraying grates having meshes of 0.7-1.0 mm at pitch of 4-7 mm and connected with reservoir and part loading and unloading mechanism; sprayer is made in form of hollow adjustable unit. Plant is also provided with tunnel-type electrical furnace, filtration, cooling and monitoring systems forming closed cycle.
EFFECT: improved quality of hardening; increased productivity.
