SURVEY PERFORMING AND SURVEY RESULT INTERPRETATION METHOD FOR WELL OPENED-UP OIL-AND-GAS BED Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: oil production industry, particularly to determine initial data necessary for 3D computer oil-and-gas bed development modeling.

SUBSTANCE: method involves drilling vertical, horizontal or inclined well; opening oil-saturated interval of oil-and-gas bed; performing well survey in unsteady regime along with providing oil extraction regime with minimal possible well pressure, which results in artificial gas pollution and watering of extracted product. Well survey is performed under control of well pressure dynamics and oil, water and gas discharge of the well. Fluid saturation along well bore within the limits of opened interval is also measured. The obtained data are used to determine permeability index in longitudinal and transversal bedding directions, porosity, skin-factor, oil, water and gas mobility edge, powers of functional dependence of oil, gas and water relative permeability. Method is performed along with periodical well shutdown and following well starting-up is carried out under minimal possible well pressure.

EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of bed parameters, relative permeability for oil, gas and water determination.
