FIELD: laser engineering; miscellaneous supersonic chemical oxygen-iodine lasers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed resonator has two focused mirrors, even number of intermediate mirrors, and active medium characterized in improved energy take-off. Active medium is disposed between flat intermediate mirrors. Input mirror is concave and output one is convex. Size of intermediate mirrors is a multiple of aperture size.
EFFECT: enhanced energy efficiency and emission intensity; enhanced gain and its uniformity in active medium and output aperture at low response of resonator to malfunctions.
