FIELD: electrical engineering; linear electric drives for robotics and machine-tools.
SUBSTANCE: proposed linear induction-motor drive has core incorporating yoke and teeth. The latter carry three-phase winding coils and support-mounted conducting armature. Switching unit is designed for connecting to voltage supply at least five phase coils of winding forming initial range over inductor axis wherein phase sequence is forward up to middle of its straight line and reverse after that, and for armature stepping provision is made to disconnect last coil of range. Electric drive is also provided with n additional inductors, where n means at least one; switching unit has additional contacts affording connection of at least five phase coils of winding to voltage supply; these phase coils form original ranges over longitudinal axes of additional inductors wherein phase sequence is forward up to middle of straight line and reverse after that. Provision is made for disconnecting last coils of ranges for armature stepping.
EFFECT: ability of controlling armature step.
