FIELD: medicine, urology, chemical-pharmaceutical industry, pharmacy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparations of vegetable origin used for prophylaxis and treatment of diseases of urogenital system in men, in particular, prostatitis. The curative-prophylactic agent for treatment of diseases of urogenital system in men, among them prostatitis, comprises French honey-suckle forgotten and French honey-suckle tea (Hedysarum) roots and rhizomes and, additionally, knot-grass herb taken in the amount 25 wt.-%, not less, and 75 wt.-%, not above. The curative-prophylactic agent can represent an aqueous-alcoholic extract and made as powder-like, tableted or capsulated formulations. All patients show good tolerance of this agent being without adverse effects and complications. Agent is effective in treatment of chronic prostatitis.
EFFECT: valuable medicinal properties of agent.
