FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is dealing with refining of black lead to remove antimony, arsenic, and tin impurities. For that end, impurities are oxidized by stirring lead-alkali melt and simultaneously feeding oxygen at controlled flow rate 7-10 L/min. Stirring of melt is performed with the aid of paddle agitator rotated at speed corresponding to Reynolds criterion value (5-7)·103.
EFFECT: increased fullness of removal of impurities and accelerated refining process.
