FIELD: low-voltage circuit opening devices; two-break circuit breakers affording overcurrent protection of electric circuits.
SUBSTANCE: proposed two-break circuit breaker has insulating case accommodating circuit breaker poles. Each pole carries two fixed contacts, trip-free mechanism, and insulating shaft kinematically coupled with the latter; this shaft is common for all poles and mounts contact holders hinged thereto. Each contact holder holds movable contact made in the form of contact bridge divided into two parallel contact strips, each being also made in the form of contact bridge spring-loaded for self-alignment when closing with fixed contacts. At least one strip is installed between parallel contact members of each pair by means of pins passed through holes made in mentioned strip, ends of pins being entered in a spaced relation into holes provided in mentioned parallel contact members; at least one compression spring is installed at one end on at least one mentioned strip.
EFFECT: simplified design and enlarged functional capabilities due to effective reduction in circuit breaker heating.
