Abstract RU 2115191 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering, low-voltage commutation equipment. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic strike release mechanism performs both separation and moving apart of contact holders with disconnection moving mobile contact holder till it takes up free travel, engages spring of mechanism of free release of engagement released before. Accelerated movement and additional extension of electric arc are ensured by fitting of arc-control bus with electric insulation and its placement between lead-in terminal and arc chute so that it limits height of set of deionizing plates together with arc control loop. In agreement with invention dielectric rod of electromagnetic strike mechanism prevents penetration of heated gases to units of switch. In proposed automatic switch extended column of electric arc forms two branches by travel caused by disconnection of short-circuit current, hits with center part of bus not coated with insulation material connecting arc control loop in parallel to one of them. EFFECT: ensured current limitation, reliable turning-off of short-circuit currents, diminished arc time and expelling of contact holders and release mechanisms from electric circuit before extinction of electric arc. 7 dwg
