FIELD: microwave radio engineering; microwave signal transfer from fixed to revolving part of multichannel coaxial transmission line.
SUBSTANCE: proposed multichannel revolving joint has concentrically disposed sections of coaxial lines with quarter-wave short-circuited insulators and matching transitions at ends loosely joined by means of set of quarter-wave choke gaps. Short-circuited insulators are built around plane-parallel radial line; matching transitions are made on strip line in the form of two parallel circuits incorporating multistep impedance transformers. Length of coaxial line sections in fixed and revolving parts of multichannel revolving joint can be chosen to equal odd number of wavelength quarters.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduced size, enlarged operating frequency band.
