FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining labyrinth asymmetry by means of nystagmography in bithermal calorimetric test. Pupillary reflex value is calculated as PR=(Sd-Sl): (Sd+Sl)%, where Sd and Sl are pupil area in darkness and under light stimulation, respectively. Labyrinth asymmetry values being greater than 10% and papillary reflex value being less than 30% or greater than 40%, vestibular dysfunction is considered to be the case. Labyrinth asymmetry values being less than 10% and papillary reflex value being less than 30% or greater than 40%, vestibular dysfunction is considered to be of pre-clinical form.
EFFECT: high accuracy in determining vestibular dysfunction cases.
