FIELD: railway transport; brake systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed dryer has compressor with drive motor controlled by pressure relay, two adsorbers with upper, lower and side inlets, pressure main line connecting compressor with adsorbers through cutoff valves, feed main line connecting upper of adsorbers with group of reservoirs used for natural cooling of air and furnished with separator-condensate accumulator with blow-down valve, dry air main line connected to adsorbers through other cutoff valves, and control unit. Dryer is made to feed hot air from compressor into one of adsorbers at each of operation. Dry air main line is connected through normally open cutoff valves to side inlets of adsorbers, and pressure main line connects compressor with lower inlets of adsorbers through normally closed cutoff valves.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of compressed air drying.
