FIELD: chemistry of polymers, chemical technology, plastics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing plastic masses, namely, to plasticizing additives for polyvinyl chloride compositions used in producing film materials, linoleum, foamplen, shoe plastics, artificial leathers, rubber-technical articles and others. A plasticizing agent for polyvinyl chloride compositions represents product prepared by esterification reaction of adipic acid with (C₁-C₅)-alcohols on acid catalyst with distilling off alcohol excess, neutralization of prepared ester under vacuum followed by re-esterification of dioxane alcohols that are large-tonnage waste in manufacturing isoprene from isobutylene and formaldehyde with the content of dioxane alcohols 40%, not less, the onset boiling point 225°C, not below, and ignition temperature point 120°C, not below, in the presence of zinc stearate and the following distilling off unreacted dioxane alcohols. Invention provides preparing the plasticizing agent eliciting good plasticizing properties for polyvinyl chloride composition with broad spectrum of action, raw sources for the manufacturing plasticizing agent, qualified using the large-tonnage industrial waste, and enhancing quality of the plasticizing agent.
