FIELD: manufacture of plastic materials, more particularly plasticizing additives in linoleum manufacture. SUBSTANCE: plasticizer is essentially mixture of dicarboxylic acid esters resulting from esterification of caprolactam production waste, 2-30% aqueous solution of C₂-C₆ mono and dicarboxylic acids or sodium salts thereof or other waste of the same production, namely alcoholic fraction containing 75-85% of n- and isoamyl alcohols in the presence of acid catalysts (sulfuric acid, resin, sulfonated activated carbon). After washing acids wit water and distilling off readily boiling substances, dark-colored amount of esters having good plasticizing polyvinyl chloride properties is formed.
