FIELD: road building, particularly pavements.
SUBSTANCE: composite pavement comprises panels having slots in ends thereof. The panels are connected one to another to form wheel track with the use of bars having wedge-like sections. Bars are provided with pins one side faces thereof. Pins are adapted to be inserted in panel slots and are sized and shaped in correspondence with the slots. Bar length is equal to panel width, thickness thereof is equal to that of the panel. Width of bar defining inner and outer wheel track edges is determined from a given relations.
EFFECT: possibility to use rectangular panels of typical structures due to compensation of transversal seam opening and expansion, improved reliability of the joint due to increased rigidity thereof.
