FIELD: engine manufacture; ignition systems of internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: novelty is that proposed spark plug has central electrode disposed in insulator and side electrode mounted within body. Effective parts of both central and ground electrodes form pointed projections separated by shaped depressions. Internal projections and shaped depressions of central and ground electrodes are disposed in opposition and form shaped spark-gap structure.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ignition and stability of spark formation.
