FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed reciprocating electric motor has cylindrical ferromagnetic inductor carrying field winding and movable ferromagnetic squirrel-cage armature placed into inductor. Inductor-to-armature winding number ratio is 2. Armature winding is disposed between inductor windings and is greatly offset toward one of them. Armature winding core and core of one of inductor windings form common magnetic circuit.
EFFECT: reduced mass of armature and enhanced reliability of motor.
