TEAT LINER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, machine milking equipment.

SUBSTANCE: teat liner is formed as integral article made from rubber or other elastic materials suitable for liquid foods and conventionally divided into mushroom-shaped plate with thickness reducing from central opening of teat liner. Said plate makes continuation of elastic cuff whose mid portion constitutes three-faced teat casing with slots on ribs. Three-faced teat liner has slots with thinnest rubber part adjacent to sucker and gradual thickening and rounding of ribs in direction of milk tube. Such construction allows cow discarding due to incompliance with machine milking requirements to be reduced by 5-10% and due to udder diseases by 25-30%.

EFFECT: improved milking process owing to creating conditions approaching to natural sucking by calf, reduced cow discarding which had been performed due to unsuitability for machine milking and decreased cases of mastitis disease.
