METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF BENT FRONT SURFACES OF FURNITURE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: furniture industry, in particular, manufacture of furniture parts such as doors, flaps, decorative faceplates, planks etc.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing blank from base; providing bending of blank and simultaneously gluing and lining. Base is formed from small fraction wood fibers. Resultant layers are glued with one another under pressure with the use of glue of the following composition, weight parts: carbide formaldehyde resin 65-75; plasticized polyvinyl acetate dispersion 25-35; oxalic acid 10%-solution 4-7; ammonium chloride 0.5-0.7. Blank is held under the pressure of 70-90 kgf/cm2 for 20-30 min. Glue is applied at temperature of 18°C and air relative humidity of 45-79%, with time between the moment glue is applied and the moment pressure is applied does not exceed 10 min. Lining process is performed during bending and gluing of blank by placing lining material in mold simultaneously with blank or after bending of blank by applying of protective and/or decorative coat.

EFFECT: increased strength of article and simplified process.
