METHOD FOR PREDICTING HUMAN AUDITORY PERCEPTION Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2261655 C2

FIELD: medicine, medicinal technique.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with diagnostics and treatment of human auditory organs. The suggested technique for predicting human auditory perception deals with forming harmonic signals of certain frequency, establishing calibrated levels of harmonic signals at stepwise level alteration, introduction of feedback signal by a patient on achieving sensitivity threshold, fixation of quantitative value of sensitivity threshold level at tested harmonic frequency, alteration of the frequency of harmonic signals within acoustic range of human perception, alteration in the approach direction towards sensitivity threshold by either descending or ascending the level of acoustic signals, at multiple repetition of controlling cycle at each frequency, moreover, alteration of the frequency of formed harmonic signals should be performed due to random law to form neutralized evaluations of sensitivity threshold at frequencies sensed by every human auditory canal and amplitude-frequency diagram for sensitivity threshold, and evaluation of auditory perception should be carried out due to successive comparison of amplitude-frequency diagram of patient's sensitivity threshold with pre-established criterional amplitude-frequency diagrams for the norm and different pathologies of auditory organs. The innovation suggested enables to differentially diagnose human auditory perception within the whole sound range and increase significance of obtained quantitative evaluations of auditory perception level.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
