FIELD: petroleum processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of liquid oil slime with elevated content of suspended impurities. Oil slime is first preheated to temperature at least 70°C, after which fed into shaking sieve to separate suspended particles at least 0.15 mm in size. Cleaned liquid is transferred into intermediate vessel and therefrom either directly into decanter or into tank for raw material at slime processing installation. Installation for pretreatment of raw material before processing involves centrifugal separation of slime in decanter and has receiving tank for initial slime with steam registers inside the tank, shaking sieve with outlet, intermediate vessel for cleaned liquid, pumps, and container for collecting suspended impurities. Receiving tank for initial slime is provided with grid and covered mesh box with mesh size larger than 25 mm. In a specific embodiment of invention, installation further contains sand separator (hydrocyclone) and second intermediate vessel for oil-containing liquid.
EFFECT: prolonged stable operation period.
