METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING VERTICAL AND INCLINED WELLS WITH GRAVEL FILTERS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, particularly well filters for obtaining or collecting drinking water or tap water from underground.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing well, filling well with gravel and installing filtering column. Before filtering column lowering filtering column is provided with processing assembly including flushing tube. Filtering column is installed by lowering thereof up to reaching gravel level and filtering column is lowered in gravel by its own gravity up to reaching well bottom. Well is left as it is for time necessary for gravel compaction. Then processing assembly is removed and filtering assembly is joined to production assembly. Device for above method implementation includes filtering assembly, tube arranged over filter, and check valve, as well as processing assembly with flushing tube, flow coupler and bush, nipple unit, body, centralizers and connector. After filtering assembly lowering processing assembly is substituted for production one including tubing string, flow coupler, sealing means and packer.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of gravel packing forming and possibility to remove slotted filter for filtering packing inspection and well bottom zone cleaning, increased operational reliability and increased service life of the filter.
