SUBSTANCE: method for installing segments in thrust bearings including segments, thrust members and radial limiting rests involves displacing working friction surface in radial direction up to reaching alignment between center of hydrodynamic pressure application in radial plane and thrust member axis.
EFFECT: prevention of segment misalignment relative working friction surface of thrust bearing disc in vertical radial plane, elimination of edge effects, provision of design workability and carrying capacity, improved ability of segment self-positioning in vertical plane in circumferential direction during hydraulic unit start.
