FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: converter comprises housing, dielectric base, tip, control rod with disk made of conducting material and mounted in the dielectric base by means of spherical pivot, cylindrical spring, slide, and four same inductive coils arranged symmetrically in the dielectric base. The inductive coils are connected in pair with two electronic units and define two vortex current gap meters together with the electronic units. The conical surface of the disk of the control rod faces the inductive coils and, in the neutral position, is at an equal distance from all four inductive coils. The control rod is provided with additional spherical pivot that connects the control rod with the tip which can slide in two directions over the top plane of the housing. The socket of the spherical pivot in the dielectric base is made of a hollow with cylindrical sides which are higher than the radius of the ball of the pivot by a factor of 1.55-1.6. The sides of the socket of the spherical pivot in the dielectric base tower over the working plane of the four inductive coils by one radius of the pivot.
